The improved hand washing, and hygiene (WASH) movement created by UNICEF aims to improve the availability of access to water and sanitation services and improve hygiene practices in developing countries.
Nearly 856 million people worldwide have limited access to safe water and sanitation devices, leading to child mortality and morbidity. UNICEF recognizes that “Hand washing with soap” is a core part of promoting positive hygiene behaviors and in turn, reducing the chances of water-borne diseases that contribute to poor conditions among these populations.
Soapy Care can aid in the promotion of positive hygiene practices by reducing up to 95% of water consumption and 60% of soap consumption when practicing hand washing.
